Chicago Choral Artists is excited to announce their debut at Chicago Temple. The fall concert is an exploration of sacred music on the theme of sacrifice and redemption. The centerpieces of this concert are two baroque masterworks - dramatic oratorio Historia Jonae for soloists, double choir, violins, and continuo by Giacamo Carissimi; and Bach Cantata BWV 158 "Der Friede sei mit dir" with baritone Douglas Anderson. Rounding out this program are motets and anthems by Gerald Finzi, Claudio Monteverdi, Randall Thompson, Stephen Chatman, Peter Mathews, and CCA's own artistic director Michael D. Costello.
