The Rockefeller Chapel Choir and Avalon Quartet partner to celebrate the CD release of director James Kallembach’s monumental new Passion, produced by Patrick Dupré Quigley (commissioned for the Chapel and premiered in 2014). Kallembach’s work uses the traditional St. John narrative interspersed with classic humanist texts on the nature of evil from Goethe’s Faust, Shakespeare’s Macbeth, and Dante’s Inferno. The concert includes music of J.S. Bach, Victoria, and Sven-David Sandström.
Tickets $20 online or at the door/free to all students with university ID.
