Chicago Summer Opera presents Benjamin Britten's Albert Herring

  • Skokie Theater 7924 North Lincoln Avenue Skokie, IL, 60077 United States (map)

Britten’s only true comic opera, Albert Herring is the tale of the rite of passage and coming of age of the only son of Mrs. Herring, a grocer in an imaginary small market town in 1900.

Chicago Summer Opera has a three year track record of finding some of the best young talent and giving them an opportunity to prepare and present opera at the post-conservatory level of their careers.
