Collaborative Arts Institute of Chicago’s annual Winter Lieder Lounge pairs Joélle Harvey's with Minnesota Opera’s Head of Music Allen Perriello in advance of their Carnegie Hall recital debut. Their program includes works by Purcell, Mozart, Clara Schumann, and Grieg. The “luminous soprano” (The New York Times) has already established herself as a Handelian, Mozartian, and new muisc specialist. Harvey returns to Chicago in the spring for Bach’s “Coffee” cantata with Music of the Baroque.
Continuing their mission to foster future performers of art song, the recitalists’ engagement with CAIC includes a Question & Answer Session with Allen Perriello on February 8, and a master class with Joélle Harvey on February 10, both at DePaul University School of Music.
