Set in Manhattan in the summer of 2003, Habit tells the story of a newlywed couple's struggle with Mayor Bloomberg's new smoking ban.  Music by Peter Hilliard.

Hansel and Gretel at Thirsty Ears Classical Music Festival

New Moon Opera Company will perform an abridged version of their spring opera, Hansel and Gretel by Engelbert Humperdinck at Thirsty Ears Classical Music Festival.  The opera is accompanied by piano and is family-friendly.  Meet us in the sanctuary of All Saints' Church at 4550 Hermitage Avenue in Chicago's Ravenswood neighborhood at 4:30 pm.  Entrance to the performance is free!

Thirsty Ears Classical Music Festival goes from 1 pm to 8 pm, with performances throughout the day, as well as beer for sale, food trucks, and children's activities from 1 - 4.  Entrance to the festival is $5 suggested donation.

The story is set in a terrace restaurant overlooking the Roman Forum where two widows and their daughters have met by chance. As their daughters talk of falling in love, the full story of the widows’ meeting in the same place twenty years earlier is revealed.
