Few works are more time-honored than Handel’s Messiah. The Apollo Chorus has been presenting this glorious masterpiece annually since 1879, a track record unmatched in the city of Chicago. The Chicago Tribune hailed Apollo’s performances as a “venerable holiday tradition” performed with “an exultant spirit that came from the heart.” Apollo welcomes outstanding solists Josefien Stoppelenburg, soprano, Meg Bragle, mezo-soprano, Mark Van Arsdale, tenor and Levi Hernandez, baritone. We know this year's Messiah performances will be our most memorable to date. Don’t miss the opportunity to experience the power and passion of Messiah as you’ve never heard it before. Conducted by Apollo's Music Director Stephen Alltop.
